Administrative & Program Coordinator
Erynn Clark graduated with a degree in Mathematics with minors in Education and Spanish from Regis University in Denver in May 2018. She started working at Higher Ground when we first opened at Lincoln Park in the summer of 2014 and she has always looked forward to returning to Higher Ground on her summers off. She is extremely excited to continue serving as the Program Coordinator through the school year. Erynn is an aspiring high school math teacher and loves working with kids and families in underserved communities. In her spare time, she enjoys watching musicals, reading books, and spending time with friends and family.
Communications & Social Media Coordinator
Marisa Craft graduated from Biola University in May of 2017 with a degree in Public Relations. She was introduced to Higher Ground through a friend and loved watching the at-risk youth in Anaheim being introduced to new opportunities and possibilities. With a desire to serve others, she loves being a voice for Higher Ground through different creative outlets. She believes the story of this beautiful non-profit deserves to be told and has the privilege to utilize social media and other outlets to share its story. During her free time, she enjoys reading, trips to Disneyland and watching baseball with her family.
Francisco Madrigal graduated from the University of California, Irvine in June of 2018 with a degree in Criminology, Law and Society, and a second degree in Political Science. He began his Higher Ground journey as an intern in early 2018 and has loved every second of it. Francisco currently serves the Anaheim Elementary School District as a Behavior Interventionist. In his spare time, Francisco enjoys running, playing soccer, and coaching youth sports.
Director of Programming
Viviana Sosa graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2017 with a degree in Sociology. She started volunteering with Higher Ground a year ago and continues to love working at Higher Ground. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling and reading. Her dream is to work with teenagers and help them achieve their dreams.
Director of Leadership Development
Armando Saldivar graduated from Cal State Fullerton in May of 2016 with a degree in Human Services. He has over five years of experience working with students in different educational settings for the Anaheim Elementary School District as a Behavior Interventionist.
He was introduced to Higher Ground at the beginning of 2018 and hasn’t looked back since. He loves working with at-risk youth and all of the challenges/victories that come along with them. On his spare time, Armando likes to ride bikes at the beach and play basketball at his local gym.
Community Outreach Coordinator
Jenny Smith has a bachelor of science in Sociology/ Child Development from Cal State , Fullerton. She began volunteering at HG in 2017 and was inspired by their mission and care of Anaheim children. After sitting on several boards and volunteering for a variety of organizations for over 20 years, she began working as the Community Outreach Coordinator in 2018. Jenny continues to volunteer at CHOC in the Ronald McDonald Family Room
COO- Chief Operating Officer
Geraldine has been involved with Higher Ground since 2014 when she began volunteering. The goal of Higher Ground - to improve the quality of life for this community, one program at a time - is something she strongly believes in and she is passionate about providing choices and resources to all families, so they can meet their goals.
Geraldine has worked with nonprofits off and on for the last 20 years and understands the work and leadership necessary to be successful. In addition to serving as a board member for the Ontario Sailing Association in Ontario, Canada where she grew up, she was a member of the board of Union Hill Preschool in New Jersey where she lived for 13 years, as well as several booster boards at her children's high school in CA.
Geraldine began her career in management consulting with Stevenson, Kellogg, Ernst, and Whinney in Toronto. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.
Family & Youth Development Specialist
Eddie Burciaga has a Bachelor in Sociology. He has over 30 years of experience in Recreation and Community Services, providing educational, training, services to at-risk youth, families, working for the City of Anaheim and Fullerton collaborated with non-profit organizations, social services, school districts, law enforcement, academic institutions, business, and the faith community.
Expertise in designing and implementing Youth Development programs, prevention/intervention programs, recreation activities, delivery of human services; community needs assessment, and Parent Educator. Extensive experience developing, motivating, training and supervising staff, volunteers, and case managers. Special trainings include, The Parent Project Certified Facilitator 2013, UCI Gang Intervention Certificate June, 2012, Orange County Human Relations, Mediator Certificate June, 2012, City Of Fullerton Leadership Academy 2001, New Mexico Center for Dispute Resolution Advanced Mediation Training and Orange County Department of Education PAL Camp Training for Substance Abuse Prevention Among Your Peers.
