Mental Health and Wellness program
In 2019, Higher Ground made a commitment to expand our scope of work to include mental health services based on requests from our community partners. Many families have no health insurance and few treatment options, other than referrals from school psychologists which parents may or may not be able to afford or be willing to pursue. We have established a customized Family Wellness Center in Lincoln Park that provides mental health services to youth and their families who currently participate in Higher Ground, as well as all new families who seek us out or are referred to us by local schools. We provide a safe, healthy, and positive environment for youth and families to seek mental health services.
